A.   Ciri-ciri teks Recount
  1. Terdiri dari 2 bagian. Bagian pertama pengenalan tokoh. Bagian kedua
      kejadian yang dialami si tokoh.
  2. Terdapat kejadian berurutan. Kejadian berurutan misalnya pengalaman
      liburan, aktivitas mulai kecil hingga dewasa.
  3. Menggunakan kalimat past tense.
  4. Bukan cerita fiktif. Contohnya adalah biografi seorang tokoh, cerita
      berisi pengalamanmu, cerita masa kecil dan sebagainya.

A picnic at the beach

On a pleasant spring day, my family and I decided to go for a picnic. It’s was perfect day for a picnic said my mother. Soon all of family members prepared the food and drink to bring to the picnic place. My family love swimming so we decided to go to the beach. We had a really fun picnic.  

Example 2:

Biography of Tengku Umar

Teuku Umar was born at Meulaboh, West Aceh, 1854. He  was the member of the Acehnese guerrilla forces during the Aceh War in Aceh, later as a leader, from 1873 until his death (February 11, 1899).  He was killed in a surprise attack in Meulaboh. He is a Pahlawan Nasional Indonesia (National Hero of Indonesia). He led a guerrilla campaign in Aceh during the Aceh War. He fell when Dutch troops launched a sudden attack in Meulaboh. His body was buried in the Mugo area. After Teuku Umar's death, his wife Cut Nyak Dhien continued to lead guerrillas against the Dutch.
